A subgroup is a broad national class rather than a local community — it names the dominant structure and genus of the country (for example, tropical eucalypt woodlands with a tall annual grass understorey) rather than a garden-scale species list. Given how much of the Territory remains under native vegetation, that broad answer is often still a good guide to what belongs.
