1750 is the standard baseline for pre-European vegetation in Australia — the plant communities that stood before widespread clearing. We read government pre-clearing datasets to tell you which community was at your address.
It depends on your state. NSW and Queensland map to community level, Victoria to Ecological Vegetation Class, Western Australia to a broad vegetation association, and everywhere else to national subgroups. Every result is labelled with its resolution so you know how precise it is.
